Its not the cold that got me, I love the cold, but the lost of daylight hours. Kind of depressing driving home at 6pm and it is all dark. But it'll get better! :)

Yep, the loss/lack of sunlight makes us depressed. It's called Seasonal Affective Disorder.

It requires an effort from ourselves to get out as much as possible into the cold, especially when there is sun to absorb as much (photo-therapy is a treatment for SAD), or catch-up with friends for social activity and peer support. As opposing as it feels, try to go out more. I have been doing that with Friday after-work drinks and Saturday.

For ClubSnap members in Melbourne who may be interested, the Herald Sun Melbourne Career Expo is on this weekend.

Pick up for copy of MX newspaper to cut out the advertisement for a free ticket entry.

The Herald Sun Melbourne Career Expo is the premier education, training and employment exhibition in Victoria. Now in its 9th consecutive year, the event will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on the 30th July to 1st August 2010.

This expo extends its reach to school leavers, students, graduates, job seekers and people looking for a career change. With more than 120 exhibitors and a highly targeted attendance of over 18,000 expected, this event should not be missed.

If you aspire to be a photographer or camera-wrecker (like me), this may be a useful expo to go to.

i vaguely remember a singapore food festival in melbourne sometime this year or perhaps last year. any idea if its an annual event or if something similar is happening again?

I think it is not an annual affair. It goes from city to city. So don't think Melbourne will be having one any time soon... :(
