Why not ClubSNAP liaise with NTUC Income to come up with an insurance package for members of Clubsnap? I believe many of us would want to insure our expensive cameras. ClubSNAP can earn some commission as well to sustain this excellent website!!!

I second MJJPhoto's suggestion.

Certain insurance companies have a bad reputation for dragging their feet when you're trying to make a claim...

there isn't much commission to be earn for general insurance. real commissions are all in personal insurance as well as group insurance.

anyone interested in personal insurance? :p

i also second MJJPhoto's suggestion. :D :D

Certain insurance companies will give you ridiciulous low quote from their "Authorised" agent which are not Authorised by the product manufacturer, which use refurbished product to repair your equipment. ;). Then insist your authorised agent for the manuafacturer to follow that quote or they will not pay ;) .... LOL

I support the move to secure a tie-up with any assurance company to provide Clubsnappers with an insurance package for our equipment. It could be modelled to that of the travel insurance NTUC is providing currently.

accident

theft following forcible and violent means

robbery or attempted robbery

misplacement

exactly how will they insure your equipment?

the exclusions is "wilful negilence"

I've heard stories where if you placed your handphone next to you, and then someone steals it from you without you knowing. (ie: handphone wasn't under your watchful eye for those few seconds), its considered negligence.

exactly what is the misplacement clause?

basically, anyone here has this insurance policy and claimed before?
