Clubsnap services

how to improve clubsnap services along the way ? am thinking that since we have a good database of the fotos, it would be nice if there are some datamining out of it ... to provide quick access to tips and techniques + other information ...

:light:
1) can put in some question and answer system in the forum... where you ask a question, and close answer is provided. something like KM ..

2) search only images ? like the google search. may ask google to index our sites for better usage ...

3) premium access ( paid only ) to useful articles ..

4) list of pro services provided

5) clubsnap newsletters ... or weekly updates of tips

First of all, thank you for the suggestions. Let me try my best to answer this.

1) We have tried exploring some KM softwares but due to the cost and resource (manpower) factors, we are holding back this option. At the same time, we are hoping that VBB (the forum software CS is using) authors will come up with a data mining option for us to mine the forum data.

2) I am not too clear on the request here. Are we looking at a image search engine or are you saying we should "list" ourselves on those internet search engines?

3) At this point in time, we will (still) wish to keep all information on ClubSNAP freely available to anyone who visit the site.

4) Please specify Pro services

5) We are indeed looking at this option. However we are lacking of manpower as of today. If anyone who likes to volunteering their services to the ClubSNAP Newsletter project, please PM me or Darren.

- certification of photography skill , aims to recognize photographer skillls in our members and raise some standard in clubsnap. we may have different level of ce tification for our members who arejudged bypro photographers,or by our own gd experience photographer. not like mcse or cnna, this cert aims to be the relm of best, with stringent factors such as no of outings shoots, style of photography developed , contribution to online photography forum. we need a unique cert that stand out from the rest =)'

- other pro service include listing down ready to hire photographer for any events; make it morevisibke and easier for users to find.

- training sessions ? small costs to cater one to one or 4 with focus to help newbie to get started

images search
- allow google to index our images for easy searching
- allow google to index our forum for easy and more accurate searching
- not sure how much is thecost, but going google way will raise more awareness of our site

the only problem we have is manpower committment. =(
