9. The parking lot(s) shall only be used for the approved purpose(s). Vehicles are not permitted to be parked in the parking lot(s) without authorisation from URA.
Reminded me of an event I covered long time ago....

why need permit?
Can we just all appear at a public carpark with our vehicles and foldable tables?
I think one thing which always hinders our spontaneity in Sg (I am a citizen) is "Need permit anot ? "

As featured in "Ah Boys to Men" - everything we do must ask permission.
LOL
Dempsey road carpark also very empty... And is in a more central location

Demsey would not be convenient to those not driving. Actually we don't need "car boot" as we are not selling clothes or bulky stuff. Our stuff can be easily carried, we just need a place and tables. Near MRT better.
Where are you going to find enough (free) tables? A car boot sale is precisely to circumvent this problem. Also TS (n others who support this idea) may have quite a lot of stuff to sell? Dempsey may not be near an MRT station, but its just a short bus ride away from one.
A compromise could be a car park near an MRT station? I can't think of a good one though.
