Club 1000D

Hi All
I joined this forum some time back but not able to contribute much due to lack of time. I would love to join you guys in your next outings...
Has anyone got speedlite for 1000d, if yes then could you guide me how useful these external flashes are? and anyone has experience with Nissin flashes?

Hi guys,

I was just interviewed by the Straits times, Digital Life team. They came down with a photographer, a reporter and a canon rep.

I was asked why I converted from PNS to DSLR and why I chose the 1000D. During the interview I mentioned our club and the outings we had so far.

Look out for the article on 11th Mar 09. I wish my wife can let me go. My soul is screaming to snap more pics with you guys...

I am more use to photobucket, so I say photobucket better

but seriously, I think photobucket unable to display exif data when viewed from the (photobucket) website whereas flicker can. Correct me if I am wrong

same here , i think that photobucket is better as i have not tried flicker :x

Yes that bugs me as well. I have learnt a lot checking out the pictures on flickr and checking out the settings they used. Sometimes the picture has already been heavily processed and the EXIF info gets lost but when you can see the exif info .. it is really handy and everytime I try to dig more info from the Photobucket images posted to the forums I get frustrated because I am guessing what is the settings used.

Flickr is useful because it integrates comments and groups in one tool as opposed to photobucket which seems to be just for sharing pictures only.

Hi, I own a 50D but could not find a 50D group to join. Would I be welcome to join the 1000D group for outing? I find you guys so friendly and I am impressed.

By the way, my 50D gave me some problem and just send to Canon Service Centre for servicing, so left with no Canon camera :-( Can I temporary use another camera brand?

why not. for me is fine whether u are using 1000D or canon or nikon. haha
