Close Up with my camera [dykat2009]

Nice series, David! Go and grab yourself a set of ext tubes this week ;).

haha I just gotten my tubes just last week. Still exploring how to tube them together for better magnification. :bsmilie: Basically, I used them for my 50mm lens as I would like to have a lighter setup sometimes.

Back to David's shots. I think since you've adopted your own signature setup, I couldn't see any pictures that are dull. Good lightings indeed. Congrats David. Keep it up. :thumbsup: I'll follow this thread.

Thanks Steven, cancan & Nicky. The LHB shot is my favourite too.
Will borrow the tubes from Ben and try this weekend.

Dominic - frankly speaking, I had fired many shots on this damsel and only this one looks ok. Was lucky the subject stood still for a long period.

I had a small experience with tubes (borrow from Ben) earlier but was using single flash. Will try with the current setup again.

Thank you Joe, Jane, Jason and meisterSG.

Glad you guys like it.
Yes, noted on the noise and grainy effect when cropping.

Clear and sharp....:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks Kurt. I understand cropping will intro noise grains into photos as the pictures are blown up.

full set of tubes -- do you mean extension tubes? Will consider them if I want to gear up for high magnification shots.

Yes...extension tubes...do pay a little more to get those with circuitry and mechanical coupling to maintain auto focus and TTL auto exposure. About RM500 only.

Great close up. Your pictures has greatly improved. I like your long horn shot! ;)

i like the head shots you did! very well done especially the Long Horn Beetle :)
