Back making my first travel video after 3 years. Really have a love/hate relationship with them.
Still struggling with all that conversion/codecs and stuff.
Convert already video quality like drop (is this always the case?)

Guys,pls feel free to leave any pointers/comments for me to improve ya?

quality looks fine to me, it's 720p for vimeo, what's the bitrate and codec you exported on?

video a bit short of scenes, but understandable lah, i am guessing you were damn tired already =D

Hi bro, tks for dropping by. Hmm only remb I export my mp4 file by 1920 x 1080. No idea How to see the bitrate leh. Some clips I shot in AVCHD But convert to mp4 already Looks lossy. Luckily Most of the other clips are shot in XAVCS So seems clearer and No need convert Since already in mp4 container.

So much to learn abt video editing and currently at noob level. Still am using imovie to edit after all these years. Tried FCP but find it not for my level.

i'm no expert on video either but i guess if you had to convert avchd to mp4 before import into imovie, then quality already drop one time, then by the time you export out to final clip means quality drop again. i find that the bitrate makes a difference in video quality. the video details ("right-click" in windows) should show the bitrate data

heartland50 collaboration is still ongoing. for now, all are just taking it easy and collecting their own clips first, it's a collaboration video at a relaxed pace, easy for everyone, no rush at all =)
