Was happily taking photos of my sons in the evening when I notice my spanking new M9 produce a click click noise when I gently pressed on the shutter speed dial!!!

Just want to know if other bros with M9 experience the same thing! Or is it that my M9 is bad... :dunno: :(

Like loose click click? Can you describe in more detail? Never noticed in mine but wanna check now....

no click sound in mine.

Yep. It's a loose click click.

A gentle depression on the shutter speed dial generates the click click sound...

your M9 spoilt! :o can give to me..

is it still warranty? if yes, just check with leica..

or post a recording of the click2 sound so it is clearer for everyone here..
now we can't hear anything yet..

If you bought it locally and it has only been bought for less than 7 days, go back to the shop and ask for a new set. That's what I did with mine when it was not flawless. Good Luck.

Did brought back. But Cathay got no stock at all. And I realise the sound from the shutter speed dial sounds like popping sound from the metal drink can when gently squeezed.

Also found out that several sets of M9 also has similar phenomenon. So accepted it as a factory norm.

Too busy to pursue this issue. Now happily shooting great pics with my M9!
