Hi clubsnap, I would to ask we can use cotton stick to clean our DSLR Sensor? I know some of my friend said use the Cleaning kit. I want to know if can use for Cotton Stick.

If you are talking about the one used for cleaning ur ears... Please DON'T. You will find urself in more trouble than it's worth

There are specialized cleaning stick for sensor cleaning, if you are unsure of how to do it, you might want to leave it to the professionals at the service center.

No. don't use that.

Go and check out Copperhill sensor cleaning kit tutorial in Youtube video, and you can order this product online from their site or Amazon.
If you can hold a pencil and write your name, shouldn't be have any issue DIY sensor cleaning with Copperhill sensor cleaning kit, it is super economy too, a basic kit is good for you to do sensor cleaning weekly for close to two years.

Im not too sure. When i look at my view finder i saw like a small black dot. I dont know is it mirror or sensor. If we go for servicing at canon place how much it cost?

if you can see it on your viewfinder, that is on the focusing screen, this dot won't show on the sensor. usually we just leave it at it is, no point cleaning it as it won't affect your photos.

if you can see the dot on your final image, it is on your sensor, you won't see it from the viewfinder.

Looks like this company already "upped the lorry", even their profile in the Amazon site also removed.

anyway, they don't really have their own products under their name, they are just putting a few products by others together and selling it as a kit, you can check out this Youtube tutorials to know what are the individuals components in the kits.

For the costs please check the website. For everything else there's a telephone. Some got it cleaned on the spot, others had to wait a few days.
