but what i see if the dust outside leh, perhaps on the membrane itself?

General consensus from most here is... send it in. If you have those blowers, can try to blow it out using air, but I think touching the glass on the sensor itself may not be worth the risk (of voiding your warranty, if you really do damage anything).

You dun wanna know how much Panasonic originally wanted to charge me for some issues with kit lens when I didn't have my receipt :embrass:
Fortunately the incident has been resolved and I didn't have to pay anything, but I would be one kit-lens less today otherwise.

That's why I'm still with the Panasonic camp :bsmilie:

tried blowing, its still there, and btw, i just dont see any dust in the picture i taken just yet. but i will take the advice of sending the camera for service. as i have another problem with the 14-45mm lens 'momentarily-jams' at times when i shoot and shows F0.0 though the lens is attached fine.

Some experienced CS member taught me this. For dust confirmation, you can set the camera to full manual. Then after that use the highest aperture number f22 or f36 if possible, then shoot up to a clear spot ,like, let say sky.

If the blurry spot are still in there. Means that there is dust on your sensor.

Btw read up on some sites. It also mentions that when you are changing lens, off the camera so no current will be passing through the sensor itself causing the static charges to suck dust to it. Best of lucky trying to remove the dust. I also have dust in my 20D and trying hard to remove it.

well, did at f16, and saw the dust spots, and i always change lens with power off. anyway, i sent the camera to the service center already, and they will didnt figure out what causes the temporary jams of the shutter yet, so no camera for chinese new year and my seoul trip.. dang.. only had my old ixus with hot pixels, and a giant dead pixels on the lcd for use..
