i like the crabs and the bird

it would be wonderful if you could get closer up to the crabs, looks like you are using pretty wide angle here but they do not seem to be very scared

very nice picture! I like it. Well composed. The island is also among the list of places I wanna visit. I had watched a programme on discovery channel and was learnted that the population of carb was declining and was getting lesser and lesser, due to change in ecology system. If I was can still recalled correctly from the programe, they were attacked by the ants belong to a certain speices.

Yeah I heard their population is declining due to the foreign Fire Ants. Some idiot brought the Ants there and now its making a fortress so big that the Red Crabs have to penetrate it. once penetrated, they were attacked. When they died, the ants will create a mucus like substance in their shells and then rear the maggots that eating the internal of the crabs. Its like the ants killed the crabs just for the maggots. They farming it. Then they poison the mucus and the maggot will suffocated and then they ate the maggots. what a genius killer.

Hi,
Your photo is nice. I like the first picture. Crab can climb..now i know..Believe there are more things i may discover if really have chance to visit this island. I heard there is a week tour over this indian ocean island. May i know the cost? or where i can get the cheapest tour package.
Just notice that you can stay there for 5 weeks? Enjoyman.
Haha..i may need to purchase 300mm + extender there.
