very private lah, dim lomantic settings. I have to peep through my f/2.8 macro lens in order to see what is going on. the flash also very fast, they dun notice one lah, heehee.

btw these are not guppies, but a related fish (Girardinus metallicus) which also produces live youngs (hence the necessity for the "thing").

Inferior... :embrass: not because of the hook but the size... almost 1/3 the length of the fish! For a 1.7m person will have a 56cm thingy!! :bsmilie:

faintz... fish are not mammals lah.. it's just that for some species of fish like guppies, mollies, platies (sorry Uncle Choy, noe u dun like the common names..); the males inject their sperm into the female to fertilise the eggs. The eggs are carried by the female, hatched within the body and then released into the water. At this stage the babies can start swimming in the water.

This system is rather different from other species are they lay the eggs in the water to hatch. For the livebearers, they are not consider mammals because the eggs do not receive any nutrients or whatsoever during this process and are independent from the female.

yesterday I just learn something new, from a biologist hor. apparently for some livebearers such as platies (or mollies, I couldn't remember), the males just have to rubba the female, and that will trigger ovulation and which can mature into fries, without having any sperm from the male injected! of course the babies are all clones of the mommy lah.

heh.. not really sucking off nutrients lah.. heard they'r suppose to eat some sort of scales of the mother fish or something? ehehe.. not too familiar in this area.:dunno:
