Com'on, they don't think that far. A pretty girl is a pretty girl is a pretty girl. If what i'm shooting is a pretty girl then by george i'm going to capture a pretty girl. That's as much pre-visualisation as one can get. i'm still waiting for evolution to catch up here and wondering if it'll ever will.
What do you mean by evolution catching up? What's the selective pressure for the evolution? What niche are you trying to fill up?

If you feel it's difficult then all the more you should try it out. hahaha. You can abstract nude too u know. nude doesn't mean having to show the bits (i'm sure u know that), capturing texture is mostly what nude it as said by my teacher. as for lighting, nude is mostly a one-light issue.
Yes, you can abstract nude. In fact, some of the best photographer in the business, like Edward Weston, does pretty awesome abstract nude art of his wife. Most of those pictures just abstraction of human form in shapes and curves... Again, that's not my cup of tea, cos I don't see things in shapes. Not yet anyway.
As for taking it up as a challenge? Well, if it's convenient I won't mind. Just don't expect me to go all the way to look for a model, look for studio, fork out extravagant sums and whatnot to go for the challenge. Simply too much hassle.
Anyway, would probably go for macro next. Am thinking of conducting pet-project of mushroom foraging around Singapore, after I'm done with my current research sometime from the mid of next year.

Oh.... I wouldn't mind showing u guys my pics when i get back. I really like to get feedback on what reactions/feelings they give. For me the challenge was looking for the fine line between erotic & nude, and which side of the line my vision had lead me to. I like what i got, as did my teacher & classmates. well as least none of them voiced out that they didn't look like nude. On the whole very very interesting. I wouldn't mind shooting a few more when i have the chance to again.
Yar yar! Let's have photo-sharing session. Khairi have this awesome publication of his work that I bet he would be dying to share!

I only have one good picture for this year though... a picture of some trees.
