ohhhh bendy mushroom...tt's sick aint it..

what's so sick about a bendy mushroom?

let me ask something pornographic, oops I mean photgraphic, for once…

for Canon EF lenses which are designed for SLR sizes, when used with DLSR such as a 350D you will need to multiply the stated focal lengths e.g. EF 100mm would become 160mm. What about EF-S lenses which are designed specifically for DLSR? e.g. EF-S 18-55 do you still have to multiply the cropping factor?

If you really want accurate answer for that, you would have to give quekky a buzz. But I don't really think that you would need to do any multiplication for EF-S lenses on DSLR bodies, since it is designed for use of Canon DSLR. I don't think an EF-S lens have a big enough image circle to be used on a 135 film SLR lor.

Hmm... looks like someone is finally moving on to a DSLR huh? :bsmilie:

If I'm not wrong the EF-S is specifically for the 1.6× crop bodies so you can't even use it on those 1.3× bodies like 10D. To confuse people, the 20D is actually a 1.6× crop body just like the 350D.

anyway just bought my 100mm macro lens liaoz

I thought that there were people who'd modified the EF-S lens to fit onto 10D before? Think the image circle could still cover the CCD of 10D lor... Well, I could be wrong. Heck! Why am I replying anyway? The only camera I ever touch right now are either MF, LF or custom-made stuff! :bsmilie:

Cool! 100mm macro lens huh? And I guess that you bought a 350D as well right?

haven't got the body yet :)

u dun mulitply, u crop. same as EFS lenses, u crop (18 becomes fov of something near to 30)

aiyah...dun be confusing la...u multiply by the crop factor to get the field of view la...
