I know of a real case. A person from China is called "世挺". Sounds good until he got the name written in PinYin on his passport and moved to US.
 

Hokkien (really happened)

*** Siew Lee - baby born premature and always fell sick and needed *repair*. I started to call her Isabella and her mum actually changed her name to that kekeke..:)

Alright, a Hokkien guy Mr. Seet wants to marry Ms. Boon, so the 2 families hold a wedding dinner, but many of their family friends are Cantonese, and they all see a big sign board say "Seet Boon Wedding Dinner" = "Lose money wedding dinner". (in Cantonese)

Loo Hean Kong = polish container
 

My BMT buddy name - 文志雄 and he's a cantonese..
so dialect name is Mun Chee Hong -> "quite horny"
