The number of Chinese tourists traveling overseas is on track to exceed 80 million visitors this year — a more than 70% increase over the same period one year ago. It is expected that this number will increase to more than 100 million people by 2015. In 2011, Chinese overseas tourists spent US$72 billion — and this number is expected to reach US$100 billion by at least 2015, if not sooner.
25% of global luxury purchases are made by Chinese customers, according to HSBC.

In Singapore, there is preferential treatment for mainland Chinese too.
STOMP - Singapore Seen - CNY discount for items at Changi Airport offered only to China passport holders

But Singapore's main aim at the mainland Chinese tourists during 2013 LNY would be the 2 casinos.
