tks.... actually its in november, 2 performance, both ballat. however, still struggling with my flash photography, read alot of threads and links, tried many shots, still can't handle it well. need plenty of practices. would of course like to take without flash as suggested by some CS'ian, but if given opportunity to go near stage, will shoot with flash. the 2nd pic above was taken using SB600, i think it is very bad, need more practice

Yeah, the lighting is a bit harsh, not very flattering... Did you aim the flash directly at her or did you bounce it off something? Also, did you use a lightsphere or a omnibounce?

Yup, used a diffuser dome & pointed directly to her. tried bounce off the ceiling & wall, but effect turned out to be unsatisfactory. uneven exposure on face ley...

Indoors shouldn't shoot direct.. Should point upwards. It still becomes harsh. When bouncing off high ceiling, remove the dome so the light falls better

this one i used iTTL, Aperture prioity and 1/60sec. tried manual flash on other pic, very poor results,. still need alot of practices.:cry:
