The dust particles gets increasingly defined at smaller aperture. Wide open they are quite blur til the point of near transparent, and usually becoming noticable at f8 and beyond after a autolevel. Macro and landscape shooters tend to hate it a lot cos they operate typically from f8 onwards.

Well, some stick like glue and cant be blown off, so the only solution using cleaning solution. Try to change lens poiting downwards to reduce the chances of dust getting in.
