hmm just to justify something...
Nokia is the largest player in the consumer mobile industry mah...
thus so many ppl buy then got definitely got more ppl compare than the rest.
thus u will think that most ppl are having alot of problems...
things cant be perfect i suppose.
it is something like ACER and DELL for instant.
If there is so much bad reputation around, then why DELL is still the best selling company for desktop and lappie. as for acer, during IT show, u see acer queue is super long de always.

quality is a must i do agree but then statistics should be more justified ba.
anyway my nokia 6260 stills sucks haha ! but no choice ... saving to buy O2 !

I used Ipaq 6515 for less than 1 year then sell liao. Got intermittent auto shutdown problem. Else it is a nice phone to have. Look out for it.

Wheelock NCC is "Known" for the bad service. My gf had her 7610 service there, instead of waitinf for the normal 3 wrking daes, we ended up waiting for 1 wk as they claim that the firmware upgraded into the hp didn't response well. So they need to keep the phone for further testing.

But if u go to NCC at Causeway Point or Suntec, there's no such prob. The sales n service staffs over at this 2 NCC have much more better service attitude then those at Wheelock place.

maybe becos the stress level is higher there ba haha...
anyway service industry sure got black sheeps de haha
except for that cute pretty lady i met in starhub service centre in tampines mall last night heehee... so sweet !

Not only there,

I went to Parkway Parade Care Centre and I was about to BANG the tables about my prev 3230 problems. For a simple software upgrade, they required 1 WHOLE DAY to work on... :thumbsd:

After the upgrade, I gave up and sold off the phone which I only used for less than 6 months. No more Nokias for me too.

I give up.

Wondering how come there are different service standards by NCC.

At least Nokia got a few service center to choose. Motorolla got only one stuck up center. (I cant even call it service center)

Motorola service is take out battery, sim card and stylus, put in plastic bag and return to you. didnt even loan you a set to use. think about it now also makes my blood boils. Now any shop got Motorolla logo I avoid. I totally ban Motorolla. Newspaper ads I quickly tear away. pay me $$ also i dont want to use ever again. and if they are the only mobile phone company left den I dont want to use HP.

Hope some Motorolla big shot see this and wake up.

Hmm.. seems like most local service centres suck.
Read at HWZ that O2/Dopod service centre also sucks, most avoid their products to get HP pda-phone.
Then comes Creative SC, another centre that provides bad services.
:dunno:

few of my classmates are still using their 8310s for more than 5 years and no problems..:)

I had my 3200 for 2 years now. Still going on strong. Dropped it countless times. :bsmilie:

If the product is good, den the service center does not mater. I had no problem with my O2 mini since day one . also drop countless times until casing also badly dented and scratched.

I had no issue with Nokis service center when I was using Nokias (had about 10 Nokias). We cannot expect 100% good service but my experience with Motorolla was extreme. the service manager also very "Ti Kee" 1st time using foul language on a lady due to the frustration.

Imagine going to fruit stall to buy orange. store keeper say "sorry you need to queue as i need to peel for all my customer".
You explain to him saying "I can peel the orange myself".
He say "sorry its our policy to peel orange for customer. "

This is just an example to show how frustrated and rigid their policy is.

I only want to buy a keypad joystick. very small button to navigate the crusor costing S$14 inclusive of Bad service. I dont mind the high cost for a drop of plastic but gave the impression want to use our Motorolla button, queue lor. dont want can go away lor."

My sister's Motorola ROKR hangs at times.

My GF's Samsung cannot connect to network once in a while.

My cheapo Nokia 3210 however works faultlessly since day 1 two years ago.

Maybe basic simple phones work with less problems like mine.

conclusion.... guy's phone got no problem? (just joking)

Just sent in my 6020 on Monday because the ring tone sometimes didn't work. Service center person seems to imply that it is a known software problem for this phone. Was told that the phone needs 4 hrs to reload the software and that all the memory will be wiped out. But when collected the next day, all memory including photo was intact. Wonder if they even did anything. Since I had to rush off after waiting for more than an hour, did not have time to ask what was wrong with it. Now will just have to wait and see if the problem reoccurs.

I like my Nokia E61!
I like my Nokia 3230!
I like my Nokia 2300!

In the 6 phones I owned, only Nokias never gave me problems!

 this just proves nokias lousy quality control..
Phones by nokia made 5 yrs (avg) and b4 bagus:thumbsup:
now...sigh:thumbsd: :thumbsd:

always hear my friends complaining about bringing their phones to NCC. long queue ar, bad service ar all that.

i've to agree that older nokia models were great, no sorts of problem all that.

moto isn't as bad too. my e398 would've survived it's 3rd yr birthday if not for my carelessness (drop into water). but it's still working, just that the lcd light flickers. :bsmilie:

Had quite a few motorola phones... love their build.

My V600 served me for a solid 3 years plus before i decided to retire it. It gave no problems whatsoever. Only sent it into Service One before the warranty expired for software upgrade and a complain that the battery was weak ... they said "we'll have to charge you if the battery is the cause" ... in the end ... it was ... but guess what... they waived the charges! ... i'd fancy nokia doing that!

Old Nokia phones are extremely hardy!!! Dropped my 3200 a million times in 2 years and it's still ok!!!

Best quality!

But newer models not too sure.
Maybe I should consider buying older Nokia models.

That's why i keep my 6150/6210 and bought a 8910 for keepsake. :bsmilie: They're good, simple and stable.
