i took a coach up to penang before when i am still sec 4 , the trip is not pleasant. :nono:

it depends on where u heading to???
bus is not that bad of an idea.....

Actually, budget airlines + tax + etc, add a few more bucks, you can take a normal plane that serves food/drinks/entertainment/claim miles.

Check it out.

yap...I took tiger airways until sian....expensive and not convenient some more. No cheapest way on travelling. U can save on eats and stay there though.

Tiger currently having promo leh, $2 per trip between SG and Thailand (excluding taxes).

Can try Air Asia, take a city bus from airport to Khao San to stay in budget guesthouse, that what I usually do.

Have time to spare?
Try taking an overnight bus from JB to Hatyai, should be around rm40-60 or a little more.
From Hatyai, you can either take the train or bus to various parts of thailand, if game, take the train to bkk, or go by one of the public buses. Its relatively cheap and plenty to see. Can't remember the cost, but it was pretty reasonable, under sg$200 because I stopped at various places.

If you are sick of the long travel, then you can take the thailand budget airlines, such as 12go up to changmai and beyond.

Actually Book Air Asia 2-3 months before hand. Its cheap
