Cheapest slide processing

anyone has bad comments about Ruby's?

Only problem is they close early, about 7 pm on weekdays. anyone knows when they open/close on Saturday/Sunday?

I think Ruby does the processing on their own, in their offsite (i.e. not in Peninsula) location. Their Peninsula location is Peninsula Shopping Centre (part of Peninsula Hotel), same stretch of shops as The Camera Workshop.

I generally get quoted for 2 days turn around, i.e. send in Wed evening get it on Friday evening.

I think they do a decent job. No complaints from me.

Ruby photo do not do thier own processing. For slides by machine developing, they sub them out to Fuji headquarters and another lab.

cheechee, if you tell them you are a student from NTU, you will be entitled to 15% discount, i.e. 4.15 without mounting and still 3 hr only.

i wonder if they would do mounting then? RGB told me $0.20 per piece for mounting. wish i can find a place that goes down to more like $0.10, that'll be comfortable ...

buy your own mount and do it yoursle will cost CHEAPER...........

own mounting is cheaper? it's about 7 cents a mount right? then u count in the time that u need to take out the slide carefully, as not to ruin other slides, cut carefully, mount in, put back the slide strip, then add that to the 7 cents.... it almost equals 20 cents at RGB....

so, is there a place that charges less than 20c per mounting? or development+mount less than $6?

I am not sure, but I think there's discount for students too. Anyone can confirm about this? West Ray, maybe you can trying calling them up to check. You can find their office numbers in one of the posts above.

Where in Bugis ? Didn't know RGB had a lab in Bugis.

i did my processing @ procolour.....at kallang....only 6 bucks can collect after 2 hrs....great colours......i did it for magazines shoots.
