I am looking for cheap, good, affordable videography camcorder for covering corporate events and wedding assignments. Any good brands and models to recommend>?

define cheap. What is your budget? and when you are talking about affordable, you can expect additional cost thrown into the mix; tripod, headphones, lights etc.

Any brand preference from your side? tape-based?flash based? hdd based?
