Hee hee, probably next week or so... but I have been keeping an eye on the price and seems that it had dropped again. It was around the $1180-$1200 region when I was first interested in this cam, and now AP offer $1080!?!?!? Maybe wiat until Dec and JUST MAYBE if they have Xmas promotion, price may even be cheaper!!! :dunno:

So when are you getting it? Dunno if we can get more bargain if we buy 2 sets from AP:dunno:

ya might have a better price if we buy together .... aiya i wish i could decide!!!!!!!!!!

what's holding you back?

the problem is i like the rich and vibrant colours that i see in G2 images while i think the 602 is a much better buy (ie very good value for money).

yes i've been told that the colour difference between the 2 cams is no big deal as there is photo-editing software. ok i am not familar with digital photography and digital editing - but surely there is a limit to how much i can edit? pls correct me if i am wrong

post some links? some times, the colors could be due to the lighting conditions or the white balance used. I generally feel that the 602 is sometimes a bit too rich and saturated (compared to my previous camera, QV2900UX) ;p

if you go to www1.photosig.com and look at the images - i chose under "browse by camera" - its from there where i had a general impression

If I'm not mistaken the 602 does not have an AF assist lamp and performs very poorly in low light condition.

How to take photos in low light???....Lens also cannot manual focus......lerrr

Low-light focusing is not that bad lah. And 602 has manual focus ring what. :D

u mean G2 got AF assist?
I think that G2 can use the Canon EX series of flash to use for AF assit. Maybe the ST-E2 oso can be use.

Too bad you using Nikon....... if not the flash can be a "kill 2 birds with 1 stone" thing!
hehahhaaaaa.... hehhahhaaaaaaa

btw, you brought your PC ber?

pics taken under different conditions are not good comparisons. and post-proceesing could've been done. check out the review sites which take pics under similar conditions. www.imaging-resource.com has a comparomater where you can compare pics side by side.

ya i know what u mean Bluestrike - maybe i should now start wondering if i should buy coolpix 5000 or 5700 :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

no lah - better dun get myself started there - coolpix is too expensive lah.
