hi, just want to check whether is changing lens in the public bad for the camera and the lens? im afraid dust might get into the dslr and damage the sensor or something. please advise me thank you :D

Dude, lens changing is a private affair you should only do it behind a securely closed and locked door. Next time change lenses, must go toilet ok.

i dun see anything wrong with changing lens in public...its not like im taking off my boxers or anything..

and if u have this mindset..fear of getting dirty on the camera/lens....

stick to camera phones and P&S...might sleep better at night.

Just turn your camera opening downwards as it will be slightly more difficult for dust to settle and quickly mount your next lens before capping your previous lens.

hope this help.

Wont be able to take good shots in time if you cant change lens anywhere ya.

Buy 1 camera body for each lens so that you never need to change lens lor

haaa.. and gaffer the gaps between the lens and body mount to minimise dust from getting in too.

Just fill the mirror chamber with wax, confirm no more dust problems.

OK... I think TS got the message. Thank you all for the creative replies.
