Changing leather skin on RF

Dtohs, morgan jus replied me. You want to email him again? I think i will give this leather changing a miss on my bessa R. It looks abit weird especially when the back door cannot be changed w their choice of skins..

Was at Mr Tay's yesterday and he commented on how many DIY jobs end up peeling at the corners in a couple of years because the glue isn't evenly spread... and when they go and try to make it stick and it doesn't, people apply stronger glue or put tape, which makes it very difficult to do a recovery when they want to change leather again...


You could try bringing your stuff down for him to do it if you want a good and clean application (he cleans out the entire glue residue before applying a new skin.. saw a "naked" camera.. really clean) but it seems he's recently flooded with jobs.

It is actually quite easy to remove the entire glue residue really.

Im thinking to change my Konica C35's as mine totally peeling off.

For now its just another sticker on top of the skin.


I thought of DIY it with just 3M's Carbon Sticker using my DIY template if theres no alternative.

Should order it soon, it'll make a great Xmas gift. I ordered twice from him, one took two months, another took almost four months.. and several reminders emails.. But seriously his workmanship is superb. And if this makes u feel better, i have butter fingers, i could re-skin my cameras too..so likely everyone else can.
