Have seen more other brands using CCD shift method kind of image stabilization like AS (Anti-Shake) of KM lately.

Like Pentax's SR ( Shake Reduction), Ricoh.
PENTAX Optio A10
Ricoh Caplio R4

Just wonder did KM license some technology or pattern to them? Or they really make the system their own way.

Another way to see this is, AS kind of image stabilization is quite stable and good that, other camera builder is also looking into it.

limitation is still 1 axis, and its not wysiwyg...

Hiee Pals...

After making an observation on a GR Ricoh camera...it really looks like thay are using the same folding-optics approach - ....like Pentax....or may be...they just get it form pentax...
Hence i would suspect for the two new cameras zcf mentioned...the very similar shake reduction product closely released to one another...make it more  that they are internally the same...

The Minolta AS uses a piezo-type approach for actuation and Pentax one looks like uses micro-stepper based CCD shift...

As far as patent is concern....you can patent how you do it...but not a concept......the CCD-shift is another concept of AS....

Let's see how well it will work...
