she went missing because she was admitted to hospital for childbirth.
i know because i had my dry cabinet sent to back to her for repairs and the courier she engaged knows this.
since then, i haven't seen my dry cabinet.

Yeah, she can't be staying in hospital forever, right? After childbirth, then what happens?

How long did they take to do the replacement?

The day itself. I send it in the afternoon at 2pm and they replaced and return me at 5pm. Fortunately I was still around that area.

no idea, if i knew i wouldn't have been so upset with my then newly-bought dry cabinet being missing after sending in for repairs.
i doubt the new distributor would even want to entertain "missing dry cabinets".

I'm thinking of getting another hygrometer to back my analog one and is looking at this one...
Hygroset Iii Humidor Front Mount Electronic Digital Hygrometer ...

anyone interested in getting it?

After reading this thread I was a little worried about my Dry Cabinet. So I contact SGCameraStore to ask about the warranty issue.
They directed me to call 63368315 - Raymond.

Raymond was very helpful and friendly. He told me about the situation of the adapter and encourage me to bring it down.

He did a check and told me to play safe, I should change the adapter at a price of $15 and leave it there for a couple of days for him to monitor.
Of course i paid the $15 and get a peace of mind.

Comparing the brands, I still prefer Aipo despite the recent 'problems'. It still works after the exchange. I also suggest everyone to get another hydrometer just to check the cabinet once in awhile.
u can get it from the internet web stores like dealextreme for only USD $8 inc of delivery.

I am quite glad of there is still support for this Brand.

Interested too... My Aipo seems fine having used it for almost 2yrs. The ebay seller mentions no int. shipping tho.

I couldn't see the item info actually... I might get the Xikar calibratable hygrometers.. Lemme do some research tonite and post again... If there are enough interest... We might just do an MO

hmm i prefer to get an analogue hydrometer instead. think its more accurate then digital

hmm... besides ordering from overseas, any reliable ones that can be gotten locally?

got one from daiso at 2 dollar, analog one!

I've been checking around a bit. Most of them are non-calibratable ones which work just as well... all you need is to run the salt test, know the difference and keep it in mind everytime you check the hygrometer. For me, my old brain isn't working very well so I tend to forget things really quickly... hahaha

my hygrometer (western caliber III, it is digital) came yesterday.. and the deviation from my aipo dry cabinet is only 2-3 %!!!

Aipo set at 40% but western caliber III measured 42-3%

So not all Aipo are bad. :)

Did you test your western caliber III using the salt test? They might not be very accurate...... but take my comment as a pinch of salt... I don't have any experience with them.

I got a hygrometer for $25 from Red Dot Photo and its readings tally with my Akarui but reads 52pct when my Aipo was set 45pct. so now my Aipo is set 38 pct n the hygrometer reads abt 44pct.
