i am looking at this grip

has an opening for the battery so it is more convenient.
but more expensive than the original grip..

Nice. what brand is this? Currently using the one from sunwayfoto. Troublesome to remove the battery but cheap at $39

panasonic just doesn't get the idea of design and convenience.... all the 3rd parties making better accessories than panasonic. Honson with its accessbility and sunwayfoto with the built in quick release plate for arca swiss

25mm is sharper but the focal length is not to everyone's liking. My personal choice is 17mm

i almost bought the sunwayfoto grip too..
love the quick release plate but no opening for the battery..

tot of gettin the gariz.. but still as expensive..

wonder why jjc is not making a grip for this..

I'm using the official grip from GM1

quite easy to remove the grip
only need to remove max once per day to change battery

between the 2 i will get the 17mm..
reviews online says it is not sharp..
but the one i used to have was very sharp..

if u are a 25mm person then you might want to consider the panasonic's 25mm..

you should decide based on focal length..
both lens are definitely sharp enough for most users..

Nice and sharp.. Ard 300 for one..
AF slightly slower than the newer lens..

I will say go for the 17, 45 combi

The 17 I've which I'm still keeping now is sharp and no noticeably inferior to the 25 or 45. I've had the 25 and 45 back then before I sold them off to tidy up the cabinet.

if u are indoors then there might not be space for you to step forward/back..

Walked passed CP Marina and asked about any new Oly promotion.. they still refer me to the May month promo brochure.. so there is still "cash back" for now.. staff say until Oly update them.. they still continue with this promo..
