Bro , go to front of the thread :) not all retailers support this ; only Olympus Preferred dealers

Hmm, wonder if I should get the 17mm 1.8 or the Leica 15mm... decisions, decisions

Cathay Marina no more stock for the 45mm. Went to SLR funan.

When I asked for the lens. The saleman took out a caculator, punched, punched and quoted me $4++. I asked him what about the Olympus lens cashback promo.

Finally $286...cash only. BTW GST included.

Thank You

Hmm , never noticed this at all. If by this evening no replies to this, I'll check for u when I get home.

So far no one reply. Do you have chance to test for me?

Or anyone has noticed that when 45mm is mounted and when you switch on the camera, do you noticed a much louder sound when compare to 17mm?

BTW, I am using EM5. TIA.

hi, i just tested the 17, 45 on my EP5 and EM1. No discernible difference in level of sound. When u half press and place the camera to my ear of course I can hear IBIS working but ya, all are generally similar or the same level.

At the same time I also tried the 25, 12-40 and 75 on the EP5 too as curious will mounting different lenses give u a diff level of sound. Nothing really different I could discern.

Is your 45 much much noisier when mounted?

I am refer to the sound at the moment when the camera is turned on. I noticed my 45mm is much louder at that moment it turned on as compare to 17mm. As for my 12-50mm, almost no sound at all.

'Switch on' moment without depressing shutter bro?

Yeap bro , put your heart at rest :)
The 45/1.8 gives a louder click than the 17/1.8 at the instant u switch on the camera. I tried it on my EP5.

Thanks. I thought I am so "lucky", haha. Somehow it is quite noticeable if you are in a quiet room.

I think I have to learn to be more sensitive. I never really noticed until u brought it up. Maybe one day we can learn to recognize which lens is mounted from its 'starting' click ;)

anyone here getting can lobang HLD-6? Greatly appreciated!
