Ok lah, at least the $1990 VS $1900 of 70-300L isn't much of a diff..

But the 5D3 launch price VS the current price, that level of drop is really :o

Around there lah, but definitely below $2k. As long as not sold at RRP.

we are going to see lots of things to be sold at RRP or higher than RRP.. 5D3, then BG-E11.. G1X and 1DX also.. I do anticipate the 24-70L II to suffer the same fate :bsmilie:

If the demand is high then they'll end up like that, else will be lower than RRP.

Last July i carried 5D & 7D both with grip plus 17-40 & 70-200 attached walking around Sepang circuit for 4 full days shooting Shell Eco-marathon..so 2.5kg is not much a problem la bro..must enjoy what we do..

When i meant 2.5kg actually mean 2.5kg on hand, Excluding bag!

Even so, not much of an issue. U just have to carry it more often to get used to the weight.

If its too heavy, wait for the EOS M?

It is a matter of getting use to it... or train weights to manage the weights........

Yeah...but if one does photoshoots often with this weight, in a while it becomes a norm.

Actually, that was how I got used to the weight.... go shooting more with the load.............

Have to get used to it as u upgrade to heavier and more expensive equipment. For me now i've gotten used to the weight, though it still does give me shoulder aches occasionally.

I am not shooting as frequent due to busy schedule.... but still... it is a matter of getting used to it. I do work out when I am not shooting, so it does helps me in managing the weight....

Use more padding strap to help to reduce the sore and aches..... but it is still.... minor aches occasionally....

Most important is to carry a good comfortable n configurable bag.. preferably 2 shoulder strap type with soft wide thick padding..recently got myself the vanguard uprise 45..so comfortable..can carry my 70-300l lens 100mml lens my 17-40mml and my 60& with grip with my 50mm f1.4, tripod n cleaning equipment..total weight about 6kg..was carrying it comfortably whole day through eat coast park..important thing is to adjust the shoulder straps right so the bag sits comfortably in ur back without it sagging down or putting weight unevenly on ur shoulder n banging on ur back while u walk....another thing when u have those kind of bags is lens arrangement..so that u spread out the weight evenly instead of one side of the bag being heavier..

I now also shoot much less frequently due to other commitments. So now most of the time my equipment are in the dry cabinet but when i o for shoots during my free time, i carry full gear.

I try to shoot more when I find the time... and trying to find aim and direction in my photography... trying to develop concept and theme for shoot... I do not carry full gear, as I will plan according to the event, or shoot.... unless going trip, I will bring more gears........

I'll bring everything usually as sometimes u won't know if u'll need that particular lens. Now after 3 days of continuous shooting over the weekend, my shoulders are aching quite painfully.
