ordered from www.lomography.com since 8th of august
still no news from them..
it said processed but not even delivered yet....

Ruby photo.. - None
Objectifs.. - None.. :D

but kinda expensive ordering online
paying US 200 for the basic kit :O

Lomography.com normally takes a week or so to deliver.
Give them some time lah, the delivery is from Vienna and it's already by dhl.
Have you gotten your tracking number? If you had wanted it faster, you should have ordered from lomographyasia.com

Hope your cam arrives soon! Enjoy. :)

Erm, can i ask a silly Question? Why does the LC-A seem so much more popular and expensive compared to the Holga?

The lc-a is like the mother of all lomos to put it short and sweet.

The holga is all plastic and made in China so it's much cheaper but you can't compare them. Each are special in their own rights. :)

Can explain why the LC-A is considered "mother of all lomos"? I mean, isn't it also plastic? I thought medium format should be a better quality format...

Being new at this, I cannot see what the difference in the quality of pics is, and I'm a bit surprised coz one uses medium format, another uses 35mm. Or is the main difference durability and not pictures??

number 1: the original LOMO is LC-A.. made by some rugged russian man.. with their big hands and their expertise.. *what am i thinking!*

it is made cheap so everybody can own it *not very cheap now*

then come the marketing .. and combine with some cheap Hongkong novelty camera...
hence Holga comes into the picture.. technically not a lomo series..
then comes actionsampler yada yada
then LC-A stop production in 2005
the rest is history

lomo is not all plastic.. although it is darn unreliable nonetheless.. holga has plastic lens..lomo is glass lens.. lomo is automated.. holga is not.. lomo is 35mm therefore making it easier to process film.. holga is medium format which takes less shots and costs the same to process.. lomo is russian junk.. holga is chinese junk.. ditch both.. buy the japanese made olympuss mju II.. lasts longer.. better lens.. works the same way as lomo..

LC-A

er.. nothin beats the LC-A.. the color.. the unqiue photos that it creates...

but LC-A is more like a Hip camera,.. means put at your hip and shoot away.

LOMO got a whole range of cameras, and im quite facinated by the colors these russian made cameras produces. very nice.. maybe its the 'anqiue' feel the light leaks gives that entrice me.

Holga is plastic lens
WOCA is glass lens
LC-A is glass lens

then they got the add on flash, the FISHEYE, the Frog eye and many more.

it may not be very sharp.. but the effect the lc-a produces.. i lovethem..

and yes.. its over priced thanks to the marketing and stuff..

my friend bought his off the russian flee market for $1USD...

actually the lca can take very sharp images..it's how you gauge the distance and of course if there's any handshake. :)

so nicekit..hope all our answers helped!

A LC-A there? Don't think so.

There are many LC-As selling in ebay.
I came across one selling in a set of 4 for US$100, including shipping.
I messaged her and asked if I can buy 1 camera only.

She replied,

'
Hello.

Minimal amount to purchase are 4 cameras!

If you buy more than 1 boxes (4 cameras) I give you the discount (with
shipping worldwide and insurance):
4 cameras - 400$

Anyone wants to organise an MO for it?
I think it's pretty worth it.
