Thanks for the reply, Royce. Instructions given are really vague and they expect us to follow. Furthermore, I dun think you will know if your slightly manipulated photos will get disqualified or not on the spot. They simply accept your $5 per entry. Is there a christmas competition coming up?

That's what i've been wondering. I'm sure they'd glady take your money and then disqualify you later (but raises the question - on what grounds would they know that your image had been 'manipulated'?) Also you'd probably never know that you were disqualified.

The christmas comp details are here.

GO GO GO last day tomorrow!!!

today is the last day for submission and the booth is closing around 10+ so would advise those shooting raw today to bring a laptop for ground zero processing...

all the best, folks... ;)

Asked one of the staff at the booth this afternoon, was told today's the last day and closing time's 10 pm. For confirmation I asked again, "So your booth is closing even before the last performace is over?" He just nodded. I know not what to make of this. Oh well...

Just an update

it seems that the contest has included an element of viewer's choice
"There will be one winner in each category. Viewers' voting accounts for 50% of the final score and judges' decisions another 50%."
The shortlisted entries could be viewed at
http://artscentral.mediacorptv.com/features/buskers/index2.htm

So far, two cs members shots have been shortlisted.

Category 1: Family Moments
Marry Me [Lookingeyes]

Category 3: Festival Colors
Camania [Sebastiansong]

If any other members know of selected shots, kindly update the thread. It would be nice to know that fellow forum members have done well in the contest.

P.S. Vote for your fellow CS members if you feel their shots are good!!! Hey, its a shameless plug but who cares. If a cs'er wins, CS wins!

Don worry its all about participation... I had a great time just watching the buskers and hanging out with fellow csers like lookingeyes, fooxx, belle&Sebastian, sk163, Newman

in fact I am quite surprised at the shortlisted entries as I have seen some very good shots when I submitted my entries.

I voted for sebastiansong

So did I. Good work, sebastiansong!

I too am quite surprised by the shortlisted entries. Some of the buskers in action shots are really questionable.

I voted for PICA. Cute baby.

Well done, fellow clubsnappers. All are worthy entries. Keep up the good work.
