I seriously cannot find another camera to replace the A1, even right now..
Great picture, very easy for field documentaries, superb ergonomics, small and lethal. =D

We should have all the A1 user coming together to shoot some stuff. =D

I have XH-A1 too! I still love this cam, even after nearly 2 years.

Yup, I'm with a XHA1. I'm still learning how to optimize it and having fun shooting with it.

i am still shooting in the XM2 corder and its so good. surely want to upgrade to the A1 when high defination rules 100%. anyone when want to sell pleas think of me in ipoh. i am raj singh 012-5887719. thanks

What do you guys do with your cameras mainly?

seeing all the positives here....very tempted to get one...
anyone can enlighten me on....
how's the battery consumption comparing to PD170, in real usage, how long can it last?
20x zoom....but at the wide end....is it better than Pana 102B
low light, any worse than Pana 102B? Surely not as good as PD170/VX 2000?
time needed to be on ready stage when you pop in a tape?...Pana 102B takes that bit longer than PD170

Lenses:
My big battery can last me 3+ to 4 hours, and the typical battery can last about 2+ hours.
I honestly feel that if there is any difference how how wide the lens is and how long it takes for start-up - it would be so unnoticeablely short that you need to put all 3 cameras side by side to find out... It definately isnt that big of differencewhere its like 5-10 seconds longer or the lens is wider than you can include more stuff in it.
