Canon Warranty Online Registration

No lah. only warrantied products.

however, i have one question. i have the original 12 months warranty. i purchased the Canon extended warranty for another 24 months. in total i have 36 months.

now i just registered the online warranty. will i get 39 months in total? because the terms and conditions state that the Extended warranty will continue after the original 12 months but now my original warranty is extended to 15 months because i registered through online.

anyone online? if not, i shall ask the canon rep when i pop by the service centre.

Is the online registration for Camera only? What about lens? There's no mention of this in the web page.

I got 1 printer and 1 cam, both bought a few mths ago but still under warranty... so I try registering online to see whether can get additional 3 more mths warranty...but keep showing serial no is not recongnized.....so I called canon jus nw....tis lady like doesnt seem very sure abt this new system leh........first, she tell me tat I have to register the day I purchased the item....den aft further questioning by me, she say tat it is within 14 days of purchase....

doesn't seem like tat they r well prep to handle the queries leh....:bsmilie: ....oh well, guess I cant get additional warranty liao....haa

btw u ppl can try calling 1800-799 8686 to ask....I dial '1' to ask the questions...

If you've already registered your warranty via other means at an earlier date, you obviously can't register again. Doesn't make sense.

If it did, I'll register my birth right now (again) so my folks can benefit from the baby bonus scheme.

I havent send in my warranty card so thought might as well jus gif it a try lor.....no harm wat....if in the end can get 3 more mths warranty also gd wat...if cannot den nvm lor.....

does ur parents giving birth to you got warranty also?...no offence but doesnt seem related to the current thread lor....

LOL. Funny one. sometimes i frown at your remarks with a tint of sarcasm but i guess that's you, solarii.

Anyway, i sent in the card and was still able to go through the online process.

1)Either the card is still in post or lost.

2)Card reached but not key in into database.

However, there is a clause on the website stating that you DO NOT send in the "Canon" portion of the warranty card once you have registered online.

possible reasons:

1) they dont want a double entry.

2) the web information goes directly into the db and the manual entry might be of another db, so it saves them duplicate work to migrate data from old db to new db.
