It looks good to me at 100% crop after noise ninja.

Thank you so much Denosha. I think it's a good buy, just need to find the best bargain for it :)

can try MS Color too. saw that they have ready stocks and could give pretty competitive pricing as well. but better give them a call first.

Does it comes with manual control? (ie Tv, Av, manual modes)

Thanks

No Tv or Av modes but there is a so called "manual mode". However, it doesn't allow you to set either the aperture or shutterspeed. :(

nt sure abt this new model....but previous older ixus models let u set long shutter of 1-15 sec I think.....cannot set aperture though

Canon positioned it more for pt and shoot.... can still do long exposures though as stated by Denosha and scramblur11.

Yes, you still see the flare on the LCD while composing. However, the flare isn't recorded in the actual shot. This camera is surprisingly flare resistant, even at 28mm.

Anyway, here's one review of the SD800/Ixus850 IS: http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershot_sd800-review/index.shtml

pretty good review. anyone got it but don't like it? ;p

Lots of that at the DPReview forums. Seriously, i don't know why the people there seem so hard to please. :bsmilie:

guess they feed off each other ;p it's a handy little camera that looks good and takes good pics ;p
