Dear Member,

Need advice, any recommendation on wide angle or fish eye wet lens to attach to this S95 Ikelite casing without needs of adaptor. (mean can screw in the tread in front this casing)

Thanks for your kind help.

I'm using a S90/ikelite setup with a FIX UWL-04 for wide angle. Its a 52mm thread but comes supplied with a 52 to 67mm step up ring and screws directly onto the ikelite housing. Optically I believe its one of the best you can find for your setup. I'm pretty happy with it. :)

Inon has a 67mm threaded WA lens, with an added dome unit if you want a wider FOV. I've heard they are in the process of producing a new version of it to match the current crop of 28mm compact cameras. With it's current WA lens, you get vignetting with the compact cameras so you have to zoom in on your shots, making the FOV less wide.

Fun-In Taiwan has a lightweight WA lens just coming into the market. FOV is not as wide as some other WA wet lens on the market but it will be cheaper.

Dyron from France has a range of 67mm threaded WA lens as well.

I'm not sure if I understand u correctly, but for me, I basically screw the stepup ring really tight to the lens b4 I mount finger tight to the camera housing.

If u like, u can even thread lock step up ring to lens. :)

Yes, i understand what you say, because i do have the micro wet lense. So i may need to change underwater. that why i can not screw the stepup ring relly tight.

THanks for yr advice.

Actually what I meant was to screw the step up ring tight to the lens.. not the housing.:)

is the Ikelite casing available in SG?
