Traditionally speaking, ti should cost around the price of S1 when it first launch, agreed that it should be around 8-9 hundred bucks.

the images dun look nice leh.. eg see the girl's cap - the polka dots look very video-ish

otherwise features very very attractive

0 cm minimum focus range (macro) ???

Uses 4 x AA batteries (NiMH recommended) There is also the optional Canon NB-2AH batteries. What kind of battery is this NB-2AH batteries? Also I wonder know are long can the 4 AA last on this 12X zoom.

Have owned the S1 for a year now...very happy with all the features.
One thing I would like the S2 to improve is the ISO settings.
It is just too grainy above ISO 50. If I can get decent grain at ISO 100..
I"ll go for it without much thought.

just wondering what canon is trying to do... switching from CF to SD?

:dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

not surprising... cost / MB for SD is going down.. therefore canon now moving towards SD also... hardcore SD supporter will be jumping up n down in joy for sure.. (I said this because got 1 hardcore SD supporter keep telling my CF card going museum very soon)

Oh dear... what'll happen to my CF card... got one 512MB. Thank God haven't bought 1GB CF yet....

relax... CF still have a very broad user base... i doubt it'll be obsolete anytime soon...
maybe 1~3 yrs or more later frm now... no worries lar...

Ya lor, I also just got my 512mb a few weeks ago.

S1 doesn't have Macro, no autofocus assist light so in dark dark conditions very hard to focus....seems like S2 has improved all these :)
