still valid. last checked with csc mid dec 2010.
Just back from CSC. The program is still ongoing as of today.
Brought an old canon camera off another forumer and went straight to CSC for purchase.
One point to take note is that the officer will check the serial no of the old camera to prove it is not stolen item if the serial no is registered in their system.
Current waiting period for S95 is 1month
. The price is still $531, valid till 5 Jan.

traded my eos500 for 550D body to play with video today. I asked about the 7D / 5D2 but both are not available for this program. Only entry lvl dslrs 550D and below applicable.

Helping to give a quick update for those who may need it as of Jan 2011:
Others:
- PPP only exchange Canon products (sounds duh but just in case
)
- PPP offered to printers/selphys too (according to the personnel who serviced me)
- PPP not offered to lenses (only)
- Discount is dependant on the model of camera you wish to get although max so far seems to be still about 20.5%

- Went to Canon Service Centre (Harbourfront, Keppel Bay Tower) at Level 4
- Took a 'Repair' waiting slip
- Waited about 20min before number was called (can be longer during peak periods)
- Just said "I'm here for the Canon Privilege Purchase Program"
- Counter personnel took my old film compact camera & proceeded to key in the system ie. no other questions asked nor was the camera checked to see if it was working
- Personnel asked what camera I wanted before giving me the customer slip & advising that I will be contacted, earliest within a week - else after CNY in Feb
- SMS sent 7 days later on 26th Jan to tell me I can collect my G12
- G12 discounted to $674 (incl. GST) so about 20.6% off RRP via Canon website ($849)
- Collected 8GB SD card & standard casing at Level 1 (Canon Digital Lab)
- Now one happy owner! :lovegrin:
