anyone else having a problem making payment? mine kept saying credit card info wrong.

dont worry about it. my guess is the 5 megapixel rule is so that would be fair to camera phone or to be exact, iphone users.

if your camera can go below 5 megapixel, fine but if cannot then boh pian but have to use image editor to resize the photo. Thus far, they never said cannot use image editor to resize the photo and since this isnt the first time this is held, i am pretty sure they know what to look for in "edited" pics.

Only thing is what will be their ruling on obviously studio-taken photos and the use of non-natural props?

and hopefully this year, its not the so called dryfit shirt of past years.

Woo! Just joined my 1st photo marathon, don't really know what to expect but at least get souvenir tshirt (i'm shallow like that,haha) hope everyone don't take it too seriously and get to have some fun!

with in-camera editing functions at an all time high...the judges are in for tough time. Especially since iphones can simply get whichever app to get the photo effect they want like lomo, panning, fisheye, tilt-shift and so on.

This year will be more interesting i suppose.

I think is individual, just enjoy it the event and enjoy shooting with a topic. It is a good chance how others will take their photo when everyone is working on a same topic.

u can form your own group (with your friends) but submission is individual basis.

eh.... why don't you seek the help of your parents or in-laws? For me i have two kids and a pregnant wifey and she's totally supportive of me going for this huge event. And not forgetting i have a domestic helper to help her with the kids. ^^

I'm sure your other half will understand if photography is your passion.

Exactly! Since its a individual event, why not make it a family outing where everyone from your family can take part in helping you source objects for the theme? It can be fun!
