That's the problem of selling grey sets. Once new model is launched, these shops will be stuck with old sets, they can't return back to Canon as they are not the offical/authorised dealer unlike CP or AP, they will return all unsold 550EX back to Canon. Who wants to stock up old stocks, right? CP/AP will be concentrating selling new 580EX flash now.

I don know weather the price he mention did come with any free gifts or kitlens ..
Is really cheap for 300D offer at the price he mention is only $1325 SG dollars but not sure if is body alone ..

Good choices...both of them. I can't say for sure what the cheapest price is at the moment, but it seems that things in France are slightly more costly than they are in Singapore.

The 300D is cheaper, but it's really a crippled version of the 10D. More experienced folks have been tinkering with hacks (eg. Wasia) for some time now, which restores the functions that were originally removed. Still, it'd void the warranty and there's a certain degree of risk in it.

When I last shopped for the 350D early this month, these were a couple of quotes I got:

Lord's Photo (Lucky Plaza): $1769.25 inc. EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens, free Sandisk 1GB Ultra II CF Card, free EF Lens Works III (lens book). The free gifts are to be collected at the Canon showroom in Singapore at Harbourfront. I am not sure if these gifts are available in France.

Cathay Photo (Peninsula Plaza): $1865 for the body and kit lens, plus the free gifts as above, but paying this price will get you an additional two 512 MB Lexar CF cards. From what I know, this deal is probably called off a while ago.

Hope the others who are more in-tune with the market can give you more accurate prices. I've been told that the Nikon D50 is set to hit Singapore early next month. If you can wait, prices might start to come down.

Yes the 300D come with 18-50 len kit for 649 euros and plus the 55-200 len kits it cost 849 euros.
what is the price of 350D with 18/50 len kit and if plus 55/200? and Nikon D70?

Heheh...both Nikon and Canon produce excellent cameras. I was on the brink of getting the D70 over the 350D...the match was that close. On another note, the kit lens of the D70 is considerably better than that on the 350D, from what I have read.

If I had bought that, I'd save myself a heck of a lot of hassle looking for a new lens and risking another $1K or so out of my pocket.

Don't know about this lens, but the 85mm f/1.2 lens, quoted by CP at $3,150, is inclusive of GST.

I find this list very useful for Canon lens. Can we add Canon-mount Sigma, Tokina, Tamron etc. lens to this list? I am sure users are interested in prices of non-Canon brand lens (Sigma 150mm f/2.8, Sigma 30mm f/1.4 etc.).
