As far as Canon lenses I have EF-S 10-22, EF-S 17-85 IS, 24-70/2.8L and 50/1.4.
When I use the Canons, I use the 24-70 most of the time while the 17-85 gets some use when I just want to take some shots/scout locations and travel light. Since getting a C/Y-to-EOS adapter, I have been using my Zeiss Contax glass on my Canon mainly. I use them for all my critical work now. The 28 and 50 make a great light combo and are sharp as the dickens. The 28 especially is a dream to use. I also use it/them with my Leica since I have a C/Y-to-M adapter as well. Being a Distagon design, its hyperfocal range is huge so it is very forgiving with regard to focusing. This is especially helpful with the Leica as I can only distance scale focus the Zeiss lenses. Perhaps the only drawback, if it can be considered one, is that it has fairly high contrast and doesn't match well with my Summicrons but it certainly doesn't keep me from using it. I also have a 35-135mm Vario-Sonnar and while it's pretty big and heavy (basically equivalent in size and weight to the 24-70), it's still very close to the primes in color and resolution so it also gets a lot of use. So while I do have some Canon glass, I don't use it much anymore now that I am using my Zeiss glass on my Canon.
Actually, with X # of "affordable" lens / body combinations, and Y # of camera owners, and Y much bigger than X, I'm willing to bet that there are multiple people with the same lineup. Even more so when you consider the # of people with only the kit lens. Heck, I have a lineup that rates "semi-affordable, low exotic" and I'm sure there's multiple people out there with exactly the same camera body and lens that I have.
I do have right now on my 40D ... a Sigma 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5 EX DG, Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM & a Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM ... this is my present dynamic trio for the meantime ...
