Wow..thank u guys for the treasured comments. Is a fantastic contribution fr all of u. Just wonder why must it be tht Penang is (pardon me if i'm wrong) the cheapest? Hi PhilUKNet, how much is 5D II & Nikon D3x costs in Thailand now? ;p

As for 'why', guess you need to ask the Penang shops....
But the fact is, Penang is cheaper than KL's. Probably tight competition there. Along a street of about 10 min walks, 4 well known reputable shops there.

From what I know, if leave from Airport generally are fine.
Bur leave from southern borders of Thailand to M'sia, maybe just unwrap the whole thing .

probably just throw the box away or hide it somewhere... so it looks like you brought your camera for the holiday/trip...

:think: Maybe if travelling with another person, one holds the camera, so it looks like they take it there for holiday, another person get the flattened box put in the luggage, and then cross custom separately... :bsmilie:

Thank u Shen Siung,do u have the address & contact numbers of Penang shops?Saw only one in this thread though. If i get at Thailand prob is again on warranty, can't fly there for service right? At least Canon JB make more sense.
