Canon i990

Considering what happened in the case of the i950 and i905D, I won't be surprised if a few months down the road, Canon were to release a i995 or something like that, which has the print quality of the i990 and more 'bells & whistles' like colour LCD screen, card slots and CD-R printing but at the same price as the i990 just like what they did with the i905D.

As I had mentioned so many times before, Canon's product has very short production life while they seem to be perpetually beta testing features and functionalities on the users. Be it cameras or printers...

Models get EOL in less than 1 year.

Debatable. Anything out now in the market that match the Epson;s 2100/2200 or HP's 7350 in terms of quality?

I can't seem to remember any myself...

Actually, in my opinion, Epson's the one that's forever carrying out beta-testing on its users. Up to now, they still have not been able to solve the problem of print nozzle clogging and ink spitting in their consumer printers... unless of course they actually ARE features that Epson wants to have in their printers...

All my Epson printers have been imbued with these undesireable (to me any way) beta features that I am forced to change brands for health (stress and hair tearing) and cost (wasted time, inks and papers) reasons.

Canon, on their other hand seems to be too innovative for its own good and is always coming up with new features at little or no increase in cost so fast that their existing printers get absolete in double quick time.
