I am kind of curious, I use my video camera to take travel videos.

Is a NEX5N better in taking video than an old canon HF100?

What are the pros/cons of each? I would assume the NEX5N will have better IQ when it comes to video. Is that correct?

Both has stabilization. I am not that concerned about the lack of power zoom on the NEX5N.

I have both, now thinking of selling the HF100, but still not sure. The HF100 will give you sharper images because the DOF is a lot more due to the smaller sensor whereas the NEX5N will give you more out-of-focus background.
