Hey, not really think of selling this product, it's just my part time hobby playing wif it. AF is not working because I bought some faulty lenses to reconstruct the macro lens. I am doubtful if the AF will work if I am using a working 18-55mm IS lens, dare not try though, too expensive to get one.. just a poor student here.
However, I suppose IS is working because I didn't remove the IS component of the lens.
Lightloss? Hmm, not sure how much loss is there. Dono how to measure leh.
Hey TS, do u follow the video in youtube to modify the lens?
I've watched the video of the modification.. And there are some questions...
1, why need to change EF-S to EF?
2, will this work on EF 35-80mm? same procedure?
Hi, yes, I've followed that video with some slight modification. As the lens which was used in the video was a non IS instead of an IS lens.
1. There's no need to change from EF-S to EF if u are using a cropped sensor body.
2. I am not sure about 35-80mm but if u do have a faulty one u might want to try it.
I thought it was original design until I watched the youtube video....
I am sure the IS will not work properly as it likely involves the processor in the lens to calculate the vibrations based on the focal length. However, please prove me wrong.
I am afraid this is really NOTHING NEW. Someone on eBay is even selling an adapter that does the same without the painful "re-engineering" of your precious kit lens.
BTW, I am not in anyway related to the seller who is in Hungary....
