$455 is pretty reasonable if condition is excellent and there is warranty remaining.... otherwise u can pop another $200 to buy the G12.

Thanks, I bought the camera today. It is brand new with full warranty. I considered the G12 but from I can see they are pretty close in features. The G12 is a little better in video but I use it mostly for stills. I can use the $200 buy some accessories and maybe a nice meal.

How does the original case from Canon that you get as part of the package/gift looks like?

the original one is just a black leather pouch by canon...
boring cos everytime when i need to shot with my G12 still gotta take out but the leather case i bought is damn cool, no need to take out to use my G12...

Only manage to play with the G12 today. I took it out to take some shots when i went out for lunch. It was snowing, and the G12 is quite tough for a P&S. I took no special care. got slightly wet due to snow as I enter the cafe, but it is still working fine. Pictures' quality are very decent for such a small sensor. But I feel that lens is not as sharp as I hope. Than again I am comparing against a 7D + CZ lens which i am current using now.
On the whole, I like it as I can use it like a RF by turning off the sound and using the rotating LCD. It allows me to take more candid photo without alerting my subjects.
Here are some of the shot I took, and did some PP on it, ie WB & EV. No sharpening nor noise reduction were done.
Took this pic with the lens full extended @ 30.5mm Av mode f/4.5 iso-80 cropped to isolate the subject.
Minature effect of the park @ 30mm. I up the saturation and increase the highlights a little more.
Same composition @ a wider angle (13mm). Does not look as nice as above... what do u all think?

I just come back from canon for the PP. Got myself a G12 at $674. If you dont have a canon camera nvm..Just go to sungei rd buy a old old cam for $5 then use it go trade in..haha..
