Canon freebies???

Hi, I like to ask those who purchased Powershot S3 recently; what is included in the freebies?

I heard there's a 512MB, rechargeable batteries and a 7in1 kit bag. I'd like to know what is the brand of the batteries and what does the kit bag comprises of?

the brand of the batteries is GP.

inside the 7-in-1 kit, there is a mini tripod, a blower w/ brush, cotton bud, cleaning tissue, cleaning lotion & a microfibre cleaning cloth.


just bought my S3, i think it's a very good deal, considering all the free gifts to get you started.

Yes there is.

there is also a 512MB kingston memory card, the charger comes w/ 4 pcs batteries also

Hi David,

I think if you are asking if there is another bag besides the 7-in-1 bag, the answer is no. The canon cameras do not come with any case or bag.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I think the package is a pretty good deal.

I'll probably go to AP this evening to buy it.

But I'll probably sell the GP batteries and charger as I do not have very good experience with GP (Significant drop in battery life after less than 50 charges). I'll try MAHA since many have recommended it.

Collected the gifts yesterday. The batteries & charger kit are from GP, batteries are 2100 mAh, charger is "quick" charge 6 hours. Would recommend getting more batteries on top of what's given.

The bag is pretty compact, able to fit in your S3 stuffs, all depends on what you've & how you pack/squeeze.

The 7-in-1 kit is nothing fantastic frankly. To me, the only useful thing is the 512 MB SD card. The table-pod looks filmsy & weak.

If i'm not wrong, i heard of someone who traded his GP charger and batteries for a 512mb high-speed card? is that possible?

I just got my S3. I don't need the GP charger and batteries as i already have one set.

call canon ask lor... might be possible as the value of 512mb sd is cheaper than a gp charger now...lol
