Maybe you can post more details? for the others who wanna change their eyecups too! $10 is a must for upgrade! :D

Cheers!

Yes please post more info ! I would like one of these for my 300D. I have a big ole eyecup (Eyecup Ed) for my EOS 5, but it doesn't fit the 300D ( ze eyecup is way too big and loose ).

the first link in this thread was for the 3 part more expensive eyecup, the DK6 I filed that works too is here

as for the ones andi was talking about, you'll just have to wait for him to reply :D

Hi,

for the last part, i found it at camera shop at basement in Adelphi building, its nikon cup, just ask David to give you the nikon eyecup that can be used for 300D.(i think its the same model to fit in to the praktika, the box tell me that)

For me the last eyecup gives me more comfortable in the eyes, because its cover a little bit more to the right of your eyes, but there is a little problem i found, that is a little space from the adapter that cause verry small light came in to the eyes, but it can be solve just put a Graffer Tape!

and now im happily to use it without any problem.

Goodluck guys.!

OK Thanks to both Helmetbox and Andi for your replies.

Let me see if I got this right.

Helmetbox : you attached a DK6 directly to your 300D, and it fits. But its too near the body, so you use a DK3 in the 3 piece combo instead. Right ? The DK6 is $10 ?

Andi : you went to adelphi and got a Nikon eyecup which also attaches directly to the 300D without modification ? Is this the same as the Dk6 that helmetbox got ?

Thanks guys, I'll go check out these options.

I have found 2 types of eyecup that you can use, its nikon one but with different adaptor, and it cost you only SGD$10 !!!

Feel free to pm me if you need more info, here's the picture to share:

One more thing. Which eyecup were you referring to when you said it costs $10 and attaches directly to the 300D body ?

wakaka.

DK3 is $9, DK-6 is $10 the other nikon eyecup is $??

The DK6 needs slight filing, else you won't see the whole whole viewfinder. Because it is slightly filed down, it provides a tighter fit. The cup size (no pun intended :D ) is also bigger.

The combi with DK3 is slightly loose, because the attachment doesn't sit perfectly into the catch. Its more expensive but don't need any modification. The cup size is smaller.

The other eyecup just looks nice :D hehehe....... I'll go get one when I pass by adelphi then let you know again.

Someone asked the other time whether can be used with specs. I tried it with my specs on. Urrr... personally I don't find any point in it cause it can't possibly help stop light from interfering with your viewing. Due to the spacing of your specs and eyes, there's no way of 'cupping' your eye. It does get irritating on the specs as the cup is soft.

But for $10, it simply looks cool just sitting there :D

:D
