If you plan to use it for post-processing more and drawings for fun, Bamboo would fit in nicely.

If you plan to draw more, invest more and get the intuos3. It helps, A LOT.
The pressure sensitivity, tilt angle, easy access keys, blablabla will make your life easier and more real-actual-pencil-like. Just ordered from my school, A5 size I think, $470+.

You can but Intuos is better in terms of sensitive level and accuracy. I am switching to Intuos3 6x11 in Sept. Currently on bamboo still able to PP but I need the Intuos3 because I'm going to do digital painting for the new semester.
