I might just get the Tamron 70-200f2.8 right now. Haha. Plus the 17-50mmf2.8 once i sell my 55-250mm.

everyone needs to start from somewhere. so buy within your means. if u want f2.8, get the 3rd party lenses. then top up $$ after selling the 3rd party lens if intend to upgrade to L.

i look at it in this way. if u can afford a 3rd party lens, by all means go for it. with this lens, u can start shooting rather than waiting to save up enough. lost of time due to saving up means lost of learning opportunities.

All the 3rd party lenses I've tried till date have never failed to amaze me with the image quality they deliver as compared to Canon's product. Of course, when it comes to lenses, USM etc are strong points of Canon.
